Judy M. Nichols, age 59, passed peacefully to rest Wednesday, April 22 in Tulsa. She courageously fought breast cancer for over 6 years. It metastasized into her bones, then other organs, and finally to her brain.
Judy cherished her family and her family adored her. She was generous and supportive. She valued her neighbors, friends and colleagues. She was a dedicated employee for 35 years with Unit Rig/Caterpillar as a computer programmer. She graduated from one of the first computer degree programs in NE Oklahoma.
Judy Nichols was born October 13, 1960 in Enid, OK, daughter of Helen and F.H. Nichols. She is survived by her only sibling, Beth Bradley-Walker, brother-in-law Ray Bradley-Walker, nieces Nicole Bradley and Adrienned Griffin, nephew Larry Griffin, and great nieces and nephews Mikayla Niles and Zarrah, Tahliyah, Micah, and Eiljah Griffin. She also leaves behind an aunt, uncle, and numerous cousins.
Due to COVID restrictions, instead of a service there will be a private internment. In late May, the family will host an informal Celebration of Life in Tulsa. The family welcomes comments, memories, and pictures. These can be posted on the Heath-Griffith website, her Facebook page, emailed to firstname.lastname@example.org, or mailed to Judy Nichols at 4505 S. 37th W. Ave., Tulsa 74107. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations in her name to Street Cats, the Humane Society, or SPCA.
A private family Graveside service will be held Saturday, March 2nd, at Memorial Park Cemetery in Enid, Oklahoma.
Arrangements are entrusted to Heath-Griffith Funeral Home of Tulsa, Oklahoma. Expressions of Sympathy for the Nichols family may be left by visiting www.heathgriffithfuneralhome.com .
