On December 15, 1963, a beautiful baby girl was born to Jun Jordan and James Coffey; they named her Jonnetha Demetris Coffey. She was a happy child who loved to laugh and had an incredible sense of humor. As she grew, she was very helpful with her siblings and assumed a major role of responsibility. When necessary, she would take clothes to the laundry mat to ensure everyone had clean clothes to wear.
She had a beautiful voice that she often used to glorify God when attending Sunday School with her beloved grandmother at Varick Chapel. She loved hanging with her grandmother, many times accompanying her to church conventions. This eventually led to her singing in the choir of Many Voices under the direction of Rev. Joey Crutcher. She was an honor roll student who was fashionable and very popular. She graduated from Will Rogers High School.
She was both passionate about and devoted to her son, Clement, and her mother, June Jordan; and did all she could to make sure they both knew just how much she loved them.
Left to cherish her memories are her son, Clement Ray; mother, June Jordan; brother, James (Freda) Coffey; and sisters, Eunetta, Elizabeth, and April Jordan. along with a host of other relatives and friends.
