Emerson “Louie” Wilson Lewis, 70, of Tulsa, OK passed away June 12, 2020 in Tulsa, OK surrounded by his loving family. He was born August 1, 1949, to parents Wilson and Nora (McGee) Lewis in Talihina, Oklahoma.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Vera, Sarah, Marie, Rosie, and Isabel; and brother, Milton David.
Louie grew up in Broken Bow, OK where he graduated High School in 1968. He attended OSU Tech in Okmulgee where he met and married Carolyn. He graduated from OSU Tech with a certificate in autobody repair. After graduation from OSU Tech, Louie went to the Air Force in San Bernardino, CA where he served for four years. After being discharged, Louie and Carolyn moved back to Oklahoma and began working at Burlington Northern Railroad until his retirement.
He liked going to car shows and doing classic car restoration. He enjoyed watching tv like old John Wayne westerns and OU football, he liked listening to gospel music and spending as much time as he could with his family.
Louie is survived by his daughters, Angela Jackson and husband James of Sapulpa, OK, Brenda Tate and husband Phillip of Jenks, OK and Darlene Neely and husband Donald of Sapulpa, OK; mother of his children, Carolyn Lewis of Sapulpa, OK; sister, Ella Going of Broken Bow, OK; three grandchildren, Danielle Jackson, Zackary Carter and Teagan Tate; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive him.
A funeral service will be held Saturday, June 20, 2020 at 2pm at the Bertram Bobb Chapel in Tuskahoma, OK with Bro. Mike Davis officiating. A burial will follow in the Tuskahoma Choctaw Veteran Cemetery in Tuskahoma, OK.
