Delano Charles Radford, 69, of Tulsa, Oklahoma entered his heavenly home on Saturday, May 8th, 2021, surrounded by his loving family in Tulsa. He was born to Ora and Leonard Radford in Tulsa on December 29th, 1951.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Orene Grimes; and brother, Kirby Radford.
Delano graduated from Daniel Webster High School in 1970. Just three short years later, he married the love of his life, Vickie, on September 25th, 1973 in Tulsa. From their union, Felicia was born- their only daughter.
He dedicated his life to his Lord and Savior over 60 years ago at Mt. Olive Baptist Church in Tulsa. Delano was a very passionate man who enjoyed many things in life. One of his greatest joys was spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He loved playing his guitar, often playing with his friends. He was a car fanatic and enjoyed building them, at the time of his passing he had a ’57 Chevy in his collection. Delano worked as a Master Tool Builder for McDonald Douglas (23 years) and Nordam (22 years).
Left to cherish his memories are his loving wife of 47 years, Vickie Radford, of the home; daughter, Felicia Moore and husband Justin, of Tulsa; four grandchildren, Mark Armstong (Maresha), Micah Armstrong, Dominic Brown, and Justin “River” Moore, all of Tulsa; two great-grandchildren, Mykel Armstrong and Ayden Armstrong; five brothers, LaDon Radford (Ella), Mohandis Radford (Lovie), Terry Radford, Anthony Radford (Rose), and Keven Radford; seven sisters, Jean Lankster, Patricia Perkins, Shelia Smith, Loretta Radford, Theresa Radford, Vanessa Tottress, and Margaret Radford; a host of other relatives and friends also survive him and will miss him deeply.
A visitation will be held from 12 pm to 5 pm, Thursday, May 13th, 2021 at Heath-Griffith Funeral Home. A Funeral Service will be held at 11 am, Friday, May 14th, 2021 at Agape Bible Fellowship with Pastor Terry Buxton officiating. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
