Charlotte Herrington (Cobb), 87, of Sand Springs, OK passed away July 13, 2020. She was born January 25, 1933, to parents Horace and Bessie (Walker) Cobb in Milburn, Oklahoma.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Logan Herrington; parents; sons, Gary Herrington, and Darrell Herrington; and her brothers, Harold Cobb and Hugh Cobb.
Charlotte attended Cobb schools until 11th grade, where she then went and graduated from Locust Grove High School. During her time in Locust Grove she met her husband Logan Herrington, who she was married to for 67 years.
She enjoyed many hobbies including sewing, cooking, and baking pecan pies using the pecans from her very own pecan trees. She loved working with kids and traveling all over looking for antique items.
Charlotte was a charter member of the Berryhill Baptist Church where she was also a Sunday school teacher for 30 years. She was a volunteer at the Baptist Women Shelter in Sand Springs and delivered meals on wheels.
She is survived by her daughters, Dena Dye and husband James of Tulsa, OK and Jan Herrington of Tulsa, OK; grandchildren, D.W. Herrington and wife Jessica of Tulsa, OK, Ashlee Weiss and husband Ryan of Omaha, NE, Cody Payne of Tulsa, OK, Jessica Herrington of Owasso, OK, Alisha Elliott and husband Kyle of Louisville, KY and Emily Herrington of Owasso, OK; great-grandchildren, Darrell Herrington, Grace Herrington, and Hazel Herrington; brothers, Carthal Cobb and wife Violet of Tulsa, OK and Charles Cobb of Dallas, TX.
A viewing will be held on Thursday, July 16, 2020, from 12 PM-8 PM with family present 6 PM-8 PM at Heath-Griffith Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held at 1 PM, Friday, July 17, 2020, at the Berryhill Baptist Church with interment to follow at Woodland Memorial Park Cemetery in Sand Springs.
