Obituary

Julia Mae Ary (Elmore), 74, took her final breath on earth before walking with Jesus on the morning of December 28, 2019 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Julia was born to James Lester Elmore and Floyce Modine Elmore (Whitmare) on July 27th, 1945 in Breckenridge, Texas.


She was preceded in death by her parents; sister Arnetha Spencer; husband Harvey Ary; son Barry Ary and grandson Anthony Ary.


Julia worked as a telephone operator for over 30 years of her life. She enjoyed music, shopping and spending time with her family. She had a kind, gentle spirit and a beautiful heart. She was loved deeply and dearly.


Julia is survived by her daughter Phyllis Hicks; grandchildren Jennie Ary, Cassie Lotshaw, Cara Cole; great-grandchildren Gavin Ary, Brooklyn Ary, Trenity Hicks, Asia Ary, Draven Cole and Ezekiel Cole; brother J.D Elmore; nephews Clint Turner and Jimmy Elmore; nieces Lisa Duncan and Jodie Corn.


A funeral service will be held on Thursday, January 2nd, 2020 at 11 a.m. at the Broken Arrow Church of Christ, 505 E. Kenosha St., Broken Arrow, Oklahoma 74012. A feast will follow service.


She will be laid to rest on Friday, January 3rd, 2020 at 12:00 p.m. at Fort Gibson National Cemetery in Fort Gibson, Oklahoma.
