Betty Jean (Hallford) Holland

August 21, 1929 ~ June 28, 2019 (age 89)


Betty Jean Holland was born August 21, 1929 in Foyil the daughter of James Arthur and Bernice Oleta (King) Hallford.   She passed from this life on Friday, June 28, 2019 in Tulsa at the age of 89 years, 10 months and 7 days.


Betty was a member of Daniel Webster High School’s graduating class of 1947 and while in high school was crowned Miss Daniel Webster #9. She was a retired draftswoman and enjoyed reading and doing crossword puzzles.  Betty also loved to watch her grandchildren participating in sports.  She was a member of the Carbondale Church of Christ.


Her survivors include daughters, Cindy Davis and husband, Mike and Pam Patterson and husband, Tim all of Tulsa; grandchildren, Clay Davis and wife, Kim of Tahlequah, Heath Davis and wife, Kendi of Edmond, Jennifer Davis of Sperry, Drew Davis of Tulsa, Trent Patterson of Tulsa and Paige Martin of Tulsa; and 9 great grandchildren.


She was preceded in death by both parents; first husband, Kirby Hogue; second husband, Virgil Holland; brothers, Wayman and Joe Dan Hallford; and sister, Pokey Barlow.


Visitation for Betty will be held 8am to 8pm, on Tuesday, July 2, 2019 with family present to greet visitors from 6-8pm.


A funeral service is scheduled for 1pm, Wednesday, July 3, 2019 at the Carbondale Church of Christ with a private family graveside service to follow in Floral Haven Memorial Gardens.  Arrangements are under the direction of Heath-Griffith Funeral Home and an online guestbook is available by visiting www.heathgriffithfuneralhome.com.
