Barbara Faye VanZandt ran into the arms of Jesus on October 24th, 2019 in Tulsa, Oklahoma, at the age of 85. Barbara was born to Paul R. and Faye E (Hilton) Crabaugh on January 11th, 1934 at McAllen, Texas.
She was preceded in death by her parents; late husband, Robert (Bob) William VanZandt; and brothers, Jimmy Crabaugh and Carl Petersen.
Barbara attended school in Tulsa, where she later graduated from Daniel Webster High School in 1952. She enjoyed flowers and the challenge of crossword puzzles. She loved to spend time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. During her spare time, Barbara enjoyed crocheting and had a love for animals, especially her kitty cat.
She is survived by her children, Bobby VanZandt of Tulsa, OK, Judy Reeves of Hindsville, Arkansas, Lisa Hazelwood of Owasso, OK, Scott VanZandt and wife Melissa of Tulsa, OK, Steve VanZandt of Tulsa, OK, David VanZandt of Tulsa, OK and Susan Hamil and husband Randy of Sand Springs, OK; one brother, Gene Paul Crabaugh and wife Karen of Sapulpa, OK; grandchildren, Ronnie VanZandt, James VanZandt, Bobby VanZandt Jr., Amanda VanZandt, Shannon Passmore, Doug Hazelwood, Michael Hazelwood, Justin VanZandt, Danielle VanZandt, Lauren VanZandt, Dylan VanZandt, Noah VanZandt, Tiffany VanZandt, April Anderson, Steven VanZandt, Josh VanZandt, Haleigh Mattingly and Ashleigh Twist; and 25 great-grandchildren. A host of other relatives and friends also survive her.
A visitation will be held Sunday, October 27th, 2019 from 12pm to 6pm with family being present from 4pm to 6pm at Heath-Griffith Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held Monday, October 28th, 2019 at 11am at Canyon Road Baptist Church in Tulsa, Oklahoma with Brother Larry Westfall officiating. A private burial will be held at a later date.
