Annabelle Madeira, 83, of Tulsa passed away Saturday, November 15, 2008 in Tulsa. She was born December 21, 1924 in Denver, Colorado the daughter of John and Alice Conway. Annabelle was the oldest of nine children and was raised in the Seventh Day Adventist Church. She graduated high school in Enterprise, Kansas and received an associate degree from Tulsa Junior College. She married Jim Madeira in Arkansas in 1946. Annabelle volunteered for over 50 years with the Magic Empire Council of Girl Scouts and was a past PTA president. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Alice Conway; son, Chris Howard Madeira; and brothers, Jack, Erold, Bill and Ernest Conway. Her survivors include husband, Jim Madeira of Tulsa; daughters, Cheri Bryant and husband Robert of Tulsa, Nikki Collins of Tulsa and Jamie Austin and husband Michael of Broomfield, Colorado; sister, Barbara Phelps and husband Aaron of Catoosa; brothers, Gilbert Conway of Tulsa, Robert Conway and wife Charlotte of Laurel, Maryland and Alan Conway and wife Dolores of Chandler; six grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. A graveside service was held 1 pm, Tuesday, November 18, 2008 at Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Heath-Griffith Funeral Home.
