Virginia Ann Penick was born January 19, 1940 in Tulsa the daughter of William “JB” and Velma Lillian (McGee) Smith. She passed from this life on Friday, November 2, 2018 in Tulsa at the age of 78 years, 10 months and 14 days.

Ann graduated Daniel Webster High School in 1960 and formerly taught at Southwest Baptist Academy and Temple Christian School. She enjoyed sewing, reading, quilting and crocheting. She was a member of the Bible Baptist Temple and former member of Southwest Baptist Church.

Her survivors include husband, Norman Penick of West Tulsa; ten children, Dwayne Kuykendall and wife, Lorrie of Sand Springs, Melissa Brown and husband, Wes of Ponca City, Tracy Kuykendall and wife, Anne of Tulsa, Terry Kuykendall of Morris, Sherry Crain and husband, David of Sand Springs, Pam Kuykendall of Jenks, Jeff Kuykendall and wife, Michelle of Tulsa, Marvin Penick and wife, Jeanie of Wisconsin, Margaret Brown and husband, Bill of California and Jonathan Penick and wife, Leah of Tulsa; one sister, Norma Wicker of Tulsa; three brothers, Robert Smith of Tulsa, Kenneth Smith and wife, Glenda of Tulsa, and Louis Smith and wife, Sandra of Broken Arrow; twenty four grandchildren, Christopher, Amanda, Blake, Nicholas, Adrianne, Brittany, Chad, Kenny, Grace, Patrick, Cheyenne, Logan, Shelby, Bailey, Joshua, Victoria, Emma, Robert, Lucy, Christine, Kyle, Brooke, Olivia and Carter; eleven great grandchildren, Claire, Dane, Ellie, Corbin, Trenton, Talon, Mason, Elijah, Arianna, Carson and Amelia; and several nieces and nephews, other extended family and friends.

Ann was preceded in death by both of her parents and first husband of 31 years, Kenneth Earl Kuykendall.

Visitation for Ann will be held 2pm to 8pm on Monday, November 5, 2018 and 8am to 8pm on Tuesday, November 6, 2018 with family present to greet visitors from 6pm to 8pm.

A funeral service is scheduled for 10am, Wednesday, November 7, 2018 at the Bible Baptist Temple, 6308 E. Apache Street in Tulsa . Interment will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Heath-Griffith Funeral Home and an online guestbook is available by visiting
