David Steven Wood was born May 21, 1954 in Harlingen, Texas the son of Daniel and Bette (Olive) Wood. He passed from this life on Tuesday, October 23, 2018 in Tulsa at the age of 64 years, 5 months and 2 days.

David graduated high school in Antlers and received his Bachelor’s in Business degree from Northeastern State University in Tahlequah. He owned his own landscaping company and was a member of Trinity Episcopal Church. David enjoyed showing cattle in his youth and in later years enjoyed fishing and doing yardwork.

His survivors include his wife, Lisa Wood of Tulsa; sisters, Dana Payne and husband, David of Fort Smith, Arkansas and Lisa Helm and husband, John of Bar Harbor, Maine; and a niece, Blakely Fore and husband, Aaron of Gulf Port, Mississippi. He was preceded in death by both parents.

A celebration of David’s life is scheduled for 11am, Thursday, November 1, 2018 at the Trinity Episcopal Church, 501 S. Cincinnati. Afterwards he will be interred in a private graveside service in Antlers. Arrangements are under the direction of Heath-Griffith Funeral Home.

    David Landscaped our front & back yard when the city widen 129th East Avenue. We enjoyed working with David and his friendship. He was a vey special person and
    enjoyed his work. David will be missed by his current & past customers. I believe David you are now enjoying working in our Lord's gardens. Our prays are with David's
    family and kow David is in a far better place
