Robert “Bob” Dale Finehart-Holt passed from this life on Thursday, March 8, 2018 in Tulsa at 67 years of age. He was born October 21, 1950 in Muskogee, Oklahoma to Robert Frances Finehart and Wanda Lois (Matthews) Finehart.

Bob was a nearly lifelong Tulsa resident, and previously had briefly resided in Springfield. He attended Nathan Hale High School and studied Psychology in college. Bob was a decorated veteran of the United States Navy receiving a National Defense Medal, a Vietnam Service Medal, and a Vietnam Campaign Medal. He was also the owner and operator of Finehart Tree and Shrubbery Service in Tulsa. Bob was an excellent guitar player, and wrote some of his own music and lyrics. He enjoyed his grandchildren who affectionately referred to him as “Papa Bob.” Bob was of the Christian faith.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Jennifer Leigh Finehart; sister, Cheryl Smith; and great granddaughter, Khloe Turner. He leaves behind a daughter, Rebecca “Becky” Ann Finehart of Tulsa; a son, James Devlin Nelson of Tulsa; a sister, Lyn Eden of Arizona; a brother, Jerry Finehart of Tulsa; ten grandchildren: DeShawn Fisher, Samone Fisher, Ryan Turner, Rashad Fisher, Terrell Fisher, Keyon Fisher, Samantha Miller, Ashley Sherfy, Justin Sherfy and Brandon Sherfy; six great grandchildren; and numerous extended relatives and friends.

Services are set for 2:30pm, Saturday, April 7th, 2018 at Christ United Methodist Church, 3515 S. Harvard Ave. Arrangements are under the direction of Heath-Griffith Funeral Home, (918) 446-6633.
