Zelinda Lee Pearman, 78, of Tulsa, Oklahoma, left this life peaceably on December 3rd, 2019 in her home in West Tulsa, Oklahoma. Zelinda was born June 10th, 1941 in Tulsa to Nils and Marian Woolsey of Tulsa. She was preceded in death by her mother and father and husband, James Richard Pearman.
Zelinda lived her younger years in West Tulsa where she attended Clinton Jr. High and Webster High School. She attended Oklahoma Baptist University for two years where she studied music. During those two years is where she met her husband, James Richard (Dick) Pearman. They had 3 children – Susan, Gary & Jennifer. Next to her family, the two things Zelinda loved the most were music and serving her savior, Jesus Christ. Music and ministry were focal points for Zelinda. She played the piano, organ, and violin, taught private piano lessons, sang in church choirs, lead children’s music at churches she attended, was part of the Singing Churchwomen’s choir of Oklahoma, and constantly encouraged and nurtured music in her children and grandchildren. Her service and ministry touched many lives and included leading women’s Bible studies, Sunday School, prayer groups, leading music at church and countless hours counseling, encouraging and praying with and for others. She was last a member of First Baptist Church in Pawhuska, OK. However, her family was the apple of her eye. Zelinda loved her 3 children, 8 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren, doting on all. She would light up when her grandchildren came to see her. She loved the holidays and especially gift giving, lovingly earning the nickname "Mammaw Claus".
Left to fill her large shoes are her 3 children - daughter, Susan Campbell and her husband Hank of Tulsa, OK; Hank and Susan’s 2 children – son, Ryan Campbell and wife Mary and their 3 children, Sahara, August (Auggie) and the third nugget-to-be, all of Bradford, PA; Hank and Susan’s daughter Andrea Lively and her husband David and their 2 daughters Harper & Avery of Lynchburg, VA; Zelinda’s son, Gary Pearman and his wife Kim and their 3 children Jake, Laney and Whittier of Bixby, OK; and Zelinda’s daughter, Jennifer Mann and husband Jason and their 3 children Mason, Maddie and Matthew of Broken Arrow, OK. She also leaves behind many cousins, nephews and nieces.
Zelinda was loved by all and will be deeply missed by those left to cherish her memory.
