Ira "RA" Ray Willis, Sr.   I am a Veteran.

WILLIS, Ira Ray Sr. ''RA'' was born on October 17, 1927, and left his earthly body on May 5, 2017, to be with the Lord. RA was preceded in death by his wife: Tanda Loretta Willis, his biological mother: Ada Sullivan Willis, his biological father: David Ira Willis, Sr., his stepmother: Inez Willis, and siblings: David Ira Willis, Jr., Birdie Willis, and Maurice Willis. RA is survived by siblings: Davetta McIntosh, Gerry Ross, Charlene Ellis, and Lynn Young; children: Karen Hart, (husband, Jim), Ira Willis, Jr., and Rick Willis, (wife, Janet); grandchildren: Jimmer Hart, Jerrod Hart, Shannon Forbes, and Shea Matson, as well as numerous great-grandchildren.
RA was born in Jim Town, Oklahoma and later moved to Muskogee, Oklahoma where he met his true love: Loretta Scantlin. RA and Loretta were married in January, 25 1947. Daughter Karen was born in Muskogee, son Ira was born in Kansas City, Missouri, and son Rick was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
RA served his country in the US Navy. His adult life was spent working in the tire business. He was co-owner of Oklahoma Tire Center and later co-owner of Service Tire and Battery before retiring.
RA enjoyed bowling and especially traveling to tournaments with wife Loretta. He was in the Crystal City Bowling Hall of Fame where he bowled several perfect 300 games. Hunting and fishing were also high on list of things to do. He and Loretta would travel to Canada and Mexico on numerous fishing trips each year. RA worked with the young boys of the Westside, coaching baseball for many years. He was a competitor and always wanted the best for his players and teams.
RA was a loving husband and father. He will be missed greatly by all who knew him. We will look forward to seeing him again in Heaven.
Visitation for RA is scheduled for 8am-8pm Tuesday May 9th with family present to greet visitors from 6pm-8pm.
A funeral service will be held Wednesday May 10th at 11am at the Trinity Baptist Church under the direction of Heath-Griffith Funeral Home, 918-446-6633. www.heathgriffithfuneralhome.com
