Robert Brian Kennedy was born August 25, 1965 in Tulsa the son of Robert Sherman and Joyce (Halliburton) Kennedy. He passed from this life unexpectedly on Saturday, April 29, 2017 in Tulsa at the age of 51 years, 8 months and 4 days.
Robert was a member of Jay High School class of 1983 and had attended Northeastern Oklahoma A & M College in Miami and Oklahoma State University in Stillwater. He worked as a flight attendant for American Airlines for the past 28 years and was a member of the Association of Professional Flight Attendants. Robert was a member of the River Oaks Christian Church and enjoyed playing golf, watching sports (especially the Cubs and OSU) and doing yardwork.
He is survived by his wife of 26 years Dena (Strain) Kennedy of Jenks; daughter, Keller Kennedy of Jenks; sisters, Pam Watts of Grove, Shelli Hudgens of Jay and Sheri Taylor and husband, Jeff of Jay; mother and father-in-law, Ida and Jim Strain of Tulsa; brothers-in-law, Duane Strain and wife, LaDonna of Tulsa and Jimmy Strain and wife, Emmi of Osage; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother-in-law, Steve Watts.
Visitation for Robert will be held 8am-8pm on Thursday with family present to greet guests from 6pm-8pm on Thursday.
A funeral service is scheduled for 11am, Friday, May 5, 2017 at the River Oaks Christian Church, 300 N. Elm in Jenks and burial will follow in Rolling Oaks Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Heath-Griffith Funeral Home and an online guestbook is available by visiting www.heathgriffithfuneralhome.com.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the Keller Kennedy College Fund at Tulsa Teachers Credit Union.
Robert you will be missed by some but now you are in no pain and joining your parents in heaven. May GOD be with Dena and Keller and lead them the way to a strong future and have the Lord always
